How Lifesweeper works
Five steps. Most people are done in an afternoon.
1. Connect your inbox
Sign in with your email provider, or use an app password if that's what they need. We get read-only access and scan the last two years - five on Pro. We can see who emailed you, the subject line, the date and any unsubscribe link - nothing else. You can disconnect any time.
2. We sort it by company
Everything is grouped by company and split into two lists: Newsletters (marketing you can unsubscribe from, with its category, email count and how often it sends) and Accounts (companies holding an account for you). Each company shows up once.
3. You get a score
A single number out of 100 on your Home tab. Forgotten accounts, junk email, data leaks and public listings push it down. Cleaning them up pushes it back up.
4. You choose what happens
For each one you can keep it, ignore it, unsubscribe, cancel or ask for the account to be deleted. For deletions we research that company’s actual process and give you the exact steps and wording to send.
5. We track it honestly
When you ask for something we mark it as asked. It only shows as done once the company confirms.
Things to know
- Most inboxes work. If yours doesn't, tell us and we'll add it.
- We unsubscribe for you when the sender allows one click. When they don't, we open the right page and keep track of it.
- Cancelling and deleting accounts is guided - we walk you through it.
- The Exposure tab checks your email against known data breaches, finds public listings of your details, and can run a deep username sweep across public sites.
- Your first scan is free with 20 cleanups included. Nothing is charged until you choose a plan.
